Brake change

We take care of checking and changing your vehicle's brake system to guarantee maximum safety on the road.

At Pneumàtics Pirineu we change brake pads, discs and brake fluid, always according to the manufacturer's recommendations and the actual condition of the braking system.

Brake pads are a common wear item and key to efficient braking. When worn, they can cause noise, vibrations and reduce braking capacity.

The brake discs, for their part, must be in good condition to guarantee uniform contact with the pads; if they are deformed, scratched or insufficiently thick, they can seriously affect safety and driving comfort.

With more than 50 years of experience in our workshop in Andorra, we know how to detect the symptoms of a worn brake system:

Metallic noises
Vibrations when braking
Excessive pedal travel
Loss of braking effectiveness

If we detect any anomaly, we inform you transparently and offer you a solution adapted to your vehicle and your driving style.

We work with quality and approved spare parts. We offer a fast, precise and reliable service for cars, vans, motorcycles and industrial vehicles.

Frequently asked questions about changing brakes

When should brake pads be changed?

Normally between 30,000 and 70,000 km, but it can vary depending on use, type of driving and weight of the vehicle. We always recommend a periodic inspection to avoid risks.

How do I know if the brakes are worn?

The most common symptoms are: noise when braking, vibration in the steering wheel, slow brake response or warning light on the dashboard. If you notice any of these signs, you need to have your car checked.

Is it mandatory to change the discs at the same time as the pads?

Not always, but if the discs are worn, scratched or below the minimum recommended thickness, they must be replaced to ensure safe braking.

How long does it take to change brakes?

It depends on the vehicle and whether only the pads or also the discs need to be changed, but in most cases it is done on the same day.

What type of brakes do you use in the workshop?

We work with quality spare parts, approved and adapted to each make and model. We only assemble parts that guarantee safety and durability.
